General Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Hey there! Great to see you checking out Sanne Mees' terms and conditions! Here, I'll explain what you can expect when you work with me for 1-on-1 coaching.

These terms and conditions are the rules and agreements between you, the client, and me, Sanne Mees, the coach. They apply to all our coaching sessions and everything that comes with them.

Before we dive into the coaching journey, it's important for you to take a moment to go through these terms. It might not be the most thrilling read, but it helps us ensure everything runs smoothly during your coaching experience. By signing up for coaching with me, you automatically agree to these terms.

2. Description of the coaching journey

So, what does the coaching journey include? I offer various packages with different durations and numbers of sessions, all outlined on my website www.sannemees.nl. Regardless of the package you choose, each journey includes the following:

  • 1-on-1 coaching sessions lasting 75-90 minutes, where we delve into your unique situation. Together, we'll explore your inner world. This journey will be highly personalized, tailored to your needs and desires.

  • Sessions take place online via Zoom and are recorded (if you want), allowing you to review them for integration.

  • Guided audios for home practice. These deepen your understanding between sessions and help sustain your transformation.

  • Between sessions, you'll receive support from me via email. Feel free to ask questions, and I'll respond within two business days.

  • Sessions are typically scheduled once every two weeks, ensuring they're spread out over our time together. You can schedule these yourself using my online calendar.

3. What to expect from me

Let's talk about my role as your coach. So, what can you expect from me? I'll guide you through your journey towards coming home to yourself. I'll do my best to support you with all the tools and techniques I've learned during my studies and through my own experiences. I'll listen to what you have to say and aim to guide you towards solutions that work for you.


I’m open to feedback, so I can strive to support you in the best possible way.


And, very important: confidentiality. Everything you share with me during our sessions stays between us. Your privacy is of utmost importance to me.

4. What I expect from you

In addition to the expectations you have of me, I also have a few expectations of you as my client:

  • Commitment: Coaching is most effective when you're fully committed and dedicated to the transformation you desire. Make sure you actively participate in the sessions and are willing to invest time and energy outside of our meetings in your process of personal growth and development.

  • Openness: I can assist you the best when you're honest and open. This means being willing to share your thoughts, feelings, and challenges with me so we can find solutions together.

  • Taking action: Change doesn't happen on its own. Be ready to step out of your comfort zone and take action towards achieving your goals.

  • Respect: Let's respect and support each other throughout this process. This entails actively listening to each other, respecting each other's time, and being open to each other's perspectives.

  • Appointments: You'll schedule sessions yourself via my online calendar. If you can't make it to a session, you can reschedule it through the same calendar. Please do so at least 24 hours before our session, so I'm aware in advance as I have preparation time beforehand.

  • Payment: Once you hit the payment button for the coaching package, you're committed to payment. You'll pay for the package in advance of the coaching journey's start.

5. Intellectual Property

Intellectual property, that's our ideas and who owns them. Both you as the client and I as the coach have intellectual property. Here's how it looks:

Your material: Everything you share with me during our sessions remains yours. Your thoughts, ideas, and creative input are entirely yours, and I'll always handle them with respect.

My material: Throughout the coaching journey, I'll share various materials with you, such as:

  • tools and techniques we use during the sessions

  • audios, PDFs, and videos for your home practice

 

All these materials are my intellectual property. That means they're protected and shouldn't be copied or distributed without my written permission.

You'll be granted access to use these materials for personal use within the scope of coaching, and you'll retain access to all downloadable materials after our coaching journey finishes. Even after the coaching journey ends, you may only use the materials for personal purposes, not for business purposes.

6. Confidentiality

What happens between us stays between us. I promise that all the information you share with me during our coaching conversations will remain confidential. Everything you disclose to me remains strictly between us, whether it's personal thoughts, feelings, or any other information.

I won't share any information about you with others without your explicit consent. Your trust is incredibly important to me and serves as the primary foundation for us to be open and curious during our sessions.

7. Liability

As a coach, I understand the responsibility that comes with offering coaching services. While I strive to deliver the best work possible, it's important to acknowledge that there are always risks and unforeseen circumstances.

My responsibility as a coach: I'll make every effort to provide professional and competent coaching that meets the standards of my field. However, I can't guarantee specific results or success.

​

Your responsibility as a client: As a client, you share responsibility for achieving your desired outcomes. This requires active involvement, commitment, and dedication to the coaching process.
If there's anything you're not satisfied with, please let me know so we can work together to find a solution and improve our collaboration.

Limitation of Liability: Despite my best efforts, I can't be held liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of my coaching services. This includes financial losses, emotional discomfort, mental health issues, or other unforeseen consequences.
This also applies in the event that you provide incorrect information to me.
This doesn't apply to damages resulting from intentional or gross negligence on my part. In such cases, I'm only liable for direct damages up to the value of our agreement.

While these terms are intended to provide clarity, I'm always open to discussion and finding solutions in case of any issues.

8. Force Majeure

Sometimes, things happen that are beyond our control. Whether it's a sudden illness, technical issues, natural disasters, or other emergencies, there may be occasions where we need to reschedule or cancel our appointments.

If such an event occurs on my end, I'll inform you, and if possible, we'll arrange an alternative appointment.

 

And it works both ways. If you're unexpectedly unable to attend or something important comes up, please let me know. Life can be unpredictable, and I'm flexible and supportive wherever I can be.

9. Complaints Procedure

Sometimes, things may go wrong. If you're not entirely satisfied with my coaching or if there's something you're unhappy about, I'd like to hear from you.

What should you do if you have a complaint? Drop me an email at info@sannemees.nl and let me know what's going on. I'll do my best to listen to you, take your complaint seriously, and work with you to find a suitable solution.

10. Changes and Termination

Sometimes, things change. If you want to make any changes to our coaching journey, send me a message, and let's discuss it. We can figure out together what works best for you and how to implement any changes.

What if you decide coaching isn't for you anymore? That's perfectly fine too. Just let me know, and we can respectfully end our coaching journey. That's not a problem at all!

​

Also, if I believe the coaching journey isn't the right approach for you, or if for any reason I feel I'm not the right coach for you, I'll communicate that, discuss it with you, and potentially terminate the coaching journey.

​

In both cases, you'll receive a proportional refund of the amount you paid for the coaching journey but haven't used.

11. Right of Withdrawal

If after our initial intake session you decide to purchase a coaching package, proceed with the purchase, and later realize it's not for you, you have the right of withdrawal. This means you can cancel your purchase and receive a full refund of the amount you paid. You must do this within 14 days of purchase. If you've already had your first session within these 14 days, you'll receive a refund for the proportional part of the amount you haven't used.

To exercise this right, simply send me an email (info@sannemees.nl) stating that you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal. You don't need to provide any further reasons.

12. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution

What if something goes wrong and we can't resolve it? Disputes may arise where we're unable to reach an agreement together. In such cases, it's important to know what steps we can take.

If a dispute arises, let's first try to resolve it together through open communication. I'm here to listen to you and work together to find a solution that's acceptable to both of us.

​

If we truly can't resolve the issue, we agree to abide by the laws of the Netherlands and to submit any disputes to the competent courts in Central-Netherlands (Midden-Nederland).

13. Wrapping up

Well, those were all the official matters we needed to discuss. But before we wrap up, there are a few more things I'd like to say.

Firstly, thank you for choosing me as your coach! I'm thrilled that you've given me the opportunity to help you find your way back to yourself and grow as a person!

Secondly, let's make it a celebration! Coaching isn't just about hard work; it's also about having fun and enjoying the journey and the growth you experience.

Lastly, know that I'm always here for you. Whether you have questions, something's bothering you, or even if you just need a little motivation, don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'm here for you throughout our time together!
